Summer Camps

Overnighter | 1st & 2nd Grades | June 25 - 26, 2021

We're now offering a one-night introduction to Mahoning Valley! For students entering 1st or 2nd grade this fall, the Overnighter is a great chance to get comfortable staying over at Camp.

We will play some games, sing songs, eat a snack, and enjoy time around the campfire before spending the night in Mahoning Valley's fully climate-controlled dorms. After breakfast, we'll join right in with the Day Campers to experience most aspects of camp life in a single day, getting a real feel for what campers do in the years ahead. From worship and learning times to snack time at our Pop Shop to swimming in the pool, campers will have a blast while making new friends and growing closer to God.

Dan Denney of Plum Creek Christian Church (Rushville) will be serving as our Dean of Campers for both the Overnighter and the Day Camp sessions this year. During the day Saturday, our Day Camp 1 campers will join in, and both sessions will run together as one group for all lesson times and activities.

The Overnighter begins at 7:00 PM on Friday and concludes at 4:00 PM on Saturday. In addition to bedding, toiletries, and a change of clothes, please make sure that your camper has swimming attire and a towel.

If you're ready to register, please click here to go to the online registration page, or you may use this paper registration form to register by postal mail.

A note to parents: We know that, for some students, spending the night away from home poses a challenge. The goal of the Overnighter is to give students a chance to break some of that fear in a one-night setting. Please consider if this opportunity is right for your camper. We want their experience at camp to be one that they enjoy, not one that they hate and want to avoid in the future.
